Position Summary

We're inviting applications from experienced Administrators for a Medical Education Coordinator position at the UnitingCare Clinical School based at Buderim Private Hospital. 

  • Permanent, Part-Time – 18.5 hrs per week, days can be negotiated between Monday - Friday
  • $69,000-$71,000 FTE + 10% Super + $15,900 NFP Salary Packaging Value

The Role:

 

The UnitingCare Clinical School offers around 270 medical student placements per year across UnitingCare campuses, offering placements in a wide range of medical and surgical disciplines.

 

This position will be based at Buderim Private Hospital, Sunshine Coast. Responsible for the coordination of educational and administrative requirements of medical students and the Clinical School; providing supervision and administrative support to students during their placement. Duties will include:

  • Undertaking administration of medical student placements at relevant clinical sites
  • Coordinating and organising timetable discipline specific tutorials and seminars for students from multiple universities
  • Holding regular meetings with student groups regarding ongoing needs
  • Supporting the management of elective placements for both domestic and international students
  • Amending tutorial programs, as required, to ensure appropriate learning and support for students
  • Manage and provide coverage for employee absences in the Clinical School
  • Administrative support including minute and documentation preparation, facilitating effective management within the Clinical School and coordinating the student placement program
  • Act as a liaison between all clinicians, the students and the Universities, to ensure the smooth running of clinical placements

  • High level organisational and administrative skills
  • Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines in an environment with competing priorities
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, teamwork and client service skills and an ability to work flexibly in a team environment
  • Ability to act with tact, diplomacy and discretion when communicating with university staff, students, colleagues and members of the public
  • Previous administrative experience in a university of healthcare setting – desirable
