We’re seeking a Part Time Management Accountant to join our Corporate Services team at Buderim Private Hospital.

The Role:
Reporting to the Director Corporate Services, you will support in providing financial leadership that strengthens the successful financial performance of Buderim Private Hospital. You’ll ensure the efficient, timely and accurate development and distribution of financial performance information, to support senior leaders in strategic decision making. Through your role, you’ll enable Hospital Executive a holistic viewpoint of performance against KPIs in the achievement of hospital objectives.
You will:
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger for the hospital, including preparation of month end journals and reconciliations, and review of monthly financial results
- Prepare financial management reports and KPI reporting for departmental and senior hospital management, including development of financial projections of hospital performance
- Work collaboratively with Group Office to manage the month and year end reporting
- Maintain financial/non-financial models for key business drivers to facilitate and promote decision making and forecasting.
- Provide finance education and training to department managers as required, to up skill the Buderim Leadership team
- Undertake analysis as directed by the Director Corporate Services to understand the cost/revenue drivers of the business and to allow decisions to be made to improve performance
This is a 0.6 p/fornight opportunity, equating to 3 days p/week.
About you:
As an experienced management accountant, you’ll enjoy liaising with non-financial stakeholders; applying your skills to analyse and translate financial data and information into relatable terminology, working collaboratively with your leaders to set targets and strategies.
As a natural problem-solver, you’ll be highly-adaptable in various scenarios, confident in interpreting and analysing financial and non-financial, often clinical data, in various forms. Ideally with experience in a similar healthcare or hospital environment, you’ll present with:
- Tertiary qualification in accounting, business or a related field.
- Strong finance and accounting competency with excellent knowledge of month end deliverables and accounting and finance practices and processes.
- A positive and flexible attitude with the ability to apply planning, coordination and time management skills to projects and tasks.
- Robust technology skills including advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities and previous experience with SAP.
- Sound communication and stakeholder management skills including excellent presentation skills and proven interpersonal skills.
