Position Summary |
We are currently seeking internal applications for several experienced Nutrition Assistants to join our team on a Permanent Part Time basis.
As a Nutrition Assistant, you will ensure the professional and effective delivery of appropriate medical nutrition therapy (MNT) through:
- Collecting relevant information on patient intake, menu choice and preferences to Dietitian
- Ensuring patients on MNT are given appropriate menu, collecting and checking menus for compliance and reinforcing MNT requirements with the patients.
- Updating Cerner Diet Reports
- Liaising with nursing, food services, ward reception, dietetic staff and volunteers
- General day to day administrative duties including ordering, reporting and updating information
As an experienced Nutrition Assistant you will present with:
- Cert IV in Allied Health Assistance, in Nutrition and Dietetics and 5 year’s experience OR
- Bachelor of Health Science Nutrition or equivalent
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly communicate information articulately
- Good attention to detail
- Commitment to providing patient-centred care through your work
