Position Summary

We currently have multiple opportunities for Food Service Attendants to join our Wesley Hospital Food Services Team in permanent, part-time positions!

 

Remuneration Value: $24.79 - $26.62 p/h (FTE $49,001 - $52,596) + Super + $15,900 NFP Salary Packaging Value + Shift Penalties/Allowances + Subsidised Onsite Staff Parking

The role:

 

As a Food Service Attendant at the Wesley Hospital, you will be responsible for providing high-quality service delivery to all customers including patients, staff and visitors, within the food services department.

 

You will be responsible for basic meal preparation, portioning and serving of hot and cold meals. You’ll demonstrate a passion for customer service and recognise the importance your role plays in providing an exceptional customer experience at The Wesley Hospital.

 

Working as a member in our Food Services team you will:

  • Be part of our experienced team providing food services in one of Australia’s iconic private, not-for-profit hospitals
  • Be provided with opportunities for growth as we progress towards our on demand, hotel-style room service model
  • Be working with skilled chefs producing high quality cuisine for our patients, guests and various executive functions
  • Be able to apply your transferrable skillset from hospitality to the security of a career in the Healthcare sector
  • Have the opportunity to be a recognised member of the Institute of Hospitality in Healthcare

 

You will need:

  • Previous experience in a food safe team environment
  • Flexibility and willingness to multi skill and rotate within the various areas of the Food Services Department
  • A professional attitude with excellent personal presentation and communication skills
  • Be proficient in all aspects of food safety
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of HACCP principles and PPE requirements
  • Availability to work AM and PM shifts within the Food Services operation
  • Previous experience in upmarket food outlets or restaurants in the hospitality sector will be an advantage

We will be offering 16 hours per fortnight contracts, however, there are regular opportunities to flex up to full time (76 hrs per fortnight), for thos who wish to do so.
