Position Summary

St Andrews War Memorial Hospital have a 6 Months, Full-Time Secondment opportunity for the position of Director of Nursing - Clinical Services.


About the Role:

As the Director of Nursing, you will be responsible and accountable for the strategic and operational management of the Hospitals Clinical Services.


Providing leadership, ensuring high standards of patient care and promoting improvement in performance and outcomes for patients, you will have the opportunity to contribute at a strategic level and make an impact across the organisation.


You will work in conjunction with the General Manager to develop and maintain structures and processes, participate in initiatives to promote growth, and take an active role in management OHS and Quality initiatives to ensure a safe work environment.


About You:

The successful applicant must demonstrate the following criteria:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior management position in an acute hospital
  • Clinical competence, proven improvement in patient care and management of clinical risk
  • Bachelor of Nursing Degree or equivalent and current AHPRA registration
  • Post graduate clinical and/or management qualification
  • Demonstrated high level of leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of Human Resources practices
