With a strong focus on quality, the Food Service Chefs aim to achieve exceptional food production and presentation to the patients, families and employees of the facility. The role is responsible for menu planning, food preparation, hygiene and storage with a focus on delivering well presented and nourishing food.
Ideally, the successful applicant will demonstrate the following criteria:
- Trade Qualifications in general cookery, with a minimum of two years post apprenticeship experience;
- Demonstrated experience in high volume catering
- Comprehensive understanding of food safety standards, cleaning chemical and industrial cleaning equipment
- Availability to work across all shifts (Monday – Sunday, 5am-6pm)
- Prepared to undertake a continuous training to maintain, update and diversify skills in patient services area.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and proven work ethic within the Food Services Department.
- Proven ability to communicate professionally within a team environment.
