St Stephen's Hospital in Hervey Bay is Australia's first fully integrated digital hospital. Since October 2014 when the hospital opened, Fraser Coast residents have access to one of the country’s most advanced healthcare facilities. St Stephen’s Hospital provides a comprehensive range of inpatient medical services, as well day surgery. Part of UnitingCare Health, St Stephen’s Hospital is the only not-for-profit provider of private hospital services on the Fraser Coast.
We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Ward in a new Permanent Part Time Opportunity
You will be accountable for:
- The delivery of safe, holistic nursing care to patients and their families
- Applying clinical practice which ensures a safe environment and promotes optimal patient outcomes;
- Effectively communicating information regarding patient responses and care to the nursing team;
- Utilising customer service principles to exceed patient expectations
- Applying principles of clinical and workplace risk management
To be successful in this role you will need to have:
- 2+ years post graduate experience in a Surgical/Orthopaedic environment
- Demonstrated ability to provide patient and family centred care using best practice clinical skills
- Commitment to professional development
- The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team with effective interpersonal communication skills
- Previous experience as a Team Leader would be highly desirable.
