The Wesley Hospital is inviting applications for a Permanent, Full-Time Patient Accounts Consultant position within their Patient Accounts Team.
Remuneration: $32.22 - $33.05 (FTE $63,667 - $65,306), 10.5% super, 17.5% annual leave loading + not for profit salary packaging

About the Role:
Working as a Patient Accounts Consultant, you will be responsible for the provision of quality patient service and providing accurate financial accountability. Duties including:
- Preparation and completion of Billing patient accounts inpatient and outpatient
- Preparation of accounts for submission to health fund and insurers
- Receipting of Health Fund/Patient payments and analysing refunds
- Respond to enquiries via telephone, email and in writing
- Follow up of Medical Certificates
- Management of incoming Mail
- Maintaining stationery orders as required
- Banking and cashiering support
You will Need:
- Previous experience or understanding around private health insurance policies and/or health fund billing
- Previous experience and knowledge of Hospital Patient Accounts administration
- Previous experience with accounts receivable and debt collection
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Ability to time manage and work well under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Computer literacy skills at an intermediate level with sound numeracy skills
