The Wesley Hospital is currently inviting applications for a Permanent Full Time Clinical Nurse Manager to join the team.

The Role:

As the Clinical Nurse Manager, you will provide advanced management, professional leadership and operational direction for the Cardiac Catheter Theatre. You will ensure exceptional delivery of patient-centred care, through high quality clinical service outcomes.

 

As an experienced Clinician, you will demonstrate passion for the provision of exceptional patient centred care and present with:

  • Minimum 5 years clinical experience in Cardiac Catheter Theatre
  • Bachelor of Nursing Degree with current unconditional AHPRA registration
  • Relevant Post Graduate qualifications including tertiary qualifications in people management and leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership, support and mentorship to Clinical Nurses, Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and AIN’s
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships within the multidisciplinary team, patients and other stakeholders
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and ability to lead quality improvement projects
  • Demonstrated achievement of optimal patient outcomes through the use of effective management strategies, leadership and team building.
  • Ability to manage key performance indicators, including quality, patient safety, financial, operational and patient/family satisfaction
  • Perform or monitor personnel management functions, which includes interviewing and selecting candidates, directing the performance management program and managing corrective action issues

Selection Criteria Essential: Minimum 5 years clinical experience in Cardiac Catheter Theatre

Essential: Ability to foster quality improvement, accreditation and patient safety initiatives consistent with the hospital, nursing and department standards as well as regulatory compliance
Essential: Perform or monitor personnel management functions, which includes interviewing and selecting candidates, directing the performance management program and managing corrective action issues
Essential: Develop, monitor and administer department operating and capital budgets
