As a leader in technology and innovation, St Andrew's War Memorial Hospital not only has one of the highest acuity rates of Australian hospitals but is renowned for its extensive history of best practice clinical outcomes and range of specialist services.

 

St Andrews Graduates work a 64 hour fortnight (32 hours p/week) for a 12 month fixed term period.

Our highly-skilled Educators offer a genuine, supportive experience for our graduates and work closely with you to ensure you are continually learning and expanding your skills.

 

 

For our 2020 Graduate Program, Registered Nurses are invited to apply for our General Stream or Perioperative Stream.

 As a high-acuity, specialist facility, your program is non-rotational – allowing you to focus on developing your clinical expertise for the life of your program. Your program will include:  

  • Full orientation and preceptored supernumerary program;
  • Training, support and mentoring from our dedicated team of clinical educators;
  • Graduate support meetings and supportive ward cultures. 
  • Extensive educational opportunities, including structured graduate study days, graduate specific education sessions, formal courses, workshops and  career planning;

As a Level 1 position, in addition to your hourly rate, you will have access to not-for-profit salary packaging designed to increase your take home pay and a range of employee benefits including cumulative study leave and access to a staff gym.
