Position Summary

St Stephen's Hospital in Hervey Bay is Australia's first fully integrated digital hospital. With 96 patient beds, the state-of-the-art ‘hospital of the future’ provides vital medical and surgical services to the Fraser Coast and is the first hospital in Australia to showcase the future of how technology can transform the healthcare experience. 

 

Our Opportunity:

 

We are currently seeking to appoint an experienced Allied Health Manager to our team in a new full time permanent opportunity!

Leading a multi-disciplinary team, you will strive towards a service that meets and exceeds best practice, evidence based clinical application and ensure your team are encouraged and supported in their own professional development.

 

An experienced Allied Health professional, you will provide hands-on, critical appraisal and clinical advice for allied health services, and advocate continuous improvement that contributes to safe, compliant and quality work practices.

 

Your leadership and applied clinical skills will underpin the ongoing success and development of St Stephens Allied Health services in the Fraser Coast region.

 

About You:

 

To be considered, you will demonstrate:

  • A high level of knowledge, substantial experience and skills in Allied Health management including the ability to successfully meet budget, labour and key performance indicator targets;
  • Proven Allied Health leadership, team development and managerial skills in an environment of organisational change in the delivery of Allied Health services;
  • Previous experience in the planning, development and implementation of Allied Health services and / or service lines;
  • Exceptional level of interpersonal and written communication skills including negotiation, conflict resolution, change management and partnership building;
  • Operational Allied Health workforce management knowledge and skills with evidence of involvement in quality assurance and research activities;

While not essential, Private Hospital experience and knowledge of health fund contracts is highly desirable. Post Graduate qualifications in leadership and/ or management would also be advantageous.
