Position Summary

We’re seeking CSSD Sterilisation Technicians the Wesley Hospital in permanent part-time and full-time positions.

 

Remuneration Value: $27.67 - $30.28 p/hour (FTE $54,666 - $59,840) + Super + $15,900 NFP Salary Packaging Value + Shift Penalties/Allowances + Discounted Onsite Staff Parking

The Role:

 

Joining the CSSD team as a Sterilisation Technician, you will be responsible for the reprocessing and sterilisation of surgical instruments and equipment to the Operating Theatres.

 

You will ensure all equipment is safe prior to use including; decontamination and disinfection processes, packing and wrapping of used items prior to sterilisation and the storage and handling of sterilised and used items.

 

You will need:

  • Certificate III in Sterilisation Services or relevant discipline
  • Current clinical experience in sterilisation techniques
  • Understanding and adherence to Australian Standard 4187 – 2014 and ACHS Standards
  • Understanding of NHMRC Guidelines for the prevention of transmission of infectious diseases
  • Understanding of decontamination and disinfection processes
  • Instrumentation knowledge & demonstrated ability to assemble instrument trays correctly
