The role

We are currently seeking a Business Performance Analyst – Digital and Technology to provide strategic performance analysis and management accounting support through deployment within Digital and Technology.

Reporting to the Manager Performance and Analysis, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing the business with sound commercial and operational level advice and value add analysis;
• Supporting the cyclical planning, budgeting, forecasting and month end processes;
• Drive the provision of systematic, multi-faceted performance analysis encompassing past performance, improvement initiatives and benchmarking in order to assist Digital and Technology to meet and exceed their targets;
• Assist the development of targeted strategies to improve performance and monitor delivery against agreed approaches;
• Analysis of Digital and Technology monthly performance in conjunction with line management and preparation of monthly performance reports;
• Developing and maintaining financial and non-financial models for key business drivers to facilitate financial performance and decision making;
• Working with senior leaders to identify efficiencies, emerging trends, income opportunities and required business action plans;
•  Actively participate in related projects in accordance with strategic business requirements, ensuring any new policy and procedures are developed, documented and implemented successfully;
• Support process improvement drive to ensure task accountabilities reside within the correct area of the business.

About you

As the successful applicant you will possess the following qualifications, skills and experience:

• Relevant qualifications in an accounting, business or related field;
• Project accounting experience and knowledge of project management methodologies;
• CA or CPA qualified;
• Demonstrated experience as a Performance Analyst or similar strategic role focussed on improving business performance in a medium to large organisation;
• Demonstrated experience working within an Information Technology function or organisation;
• Experience in business finance analysis to support complex business cases and issues;
• Strong business process modelling and analysis capability;
• Highly developed organisational, interpersonal and communication skills with a variety of stakeholders.

An understanding of the framework, principles and obligations relating to the aged care, health and/or community services sectors and the not for profit sector would be advantageous but not essential.
