The Sunshine Coast Private Hospital has eight state-of-the-art operating theatres including Integrated ‘Smart’ Operating Rooms with high definition digital endoscopic cameras, a two-way video/audio system and Australia’s leading digital documentation system, Synergy.net. The perioperative service is continuing to expand and grow, and as such has created an opportunity for suitably qualified staff to join our team.
We have the opportunity for an experienced Enrolled Nurse and Registered Nurse – Scrub/Scout to join the team.
Ideally, the successful applicant will demonstrate the following criteria:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a scrub / scout position in advanced Orthopaedic and Urology surgery;
- Experience in robotic surgery will be an advantage
- Current AHPRA registration;
- Dynamic and passionate Theatre nurse with recent clinical experience;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team;
- Knowledge of continuous quality improvement principles related to operating theatres;
- Demonstrated interest in professional self development.
