Remuneration Value: Level 2 $26.59 - $28.59 p/hour (FTE $52, 541 - $56, 493) 9.5% employee contribution to super, 17.5% annual leave loading + not for profit salary packaging

 

 

The Wesley are inviting applications for an experienced Endoscopy Reprocessing Technician to join their Endoscopy unit in a permanent part time capacity. We are also inviting applications from those seeking Casual work.

People caring for people:

 

A key role within Endoscopy, you will effectively deliver quality sterilisation services to the department, through maintaining infection control standards and practicing high standards of disinfection and sterilisation of equipment. You will coordinate your own activities throughout the day, documenting your work, and maintaining accountability for the safe and sterile delivery and assembly of equipment prior to procedures.

 

Your previous experience as a Sterilisation Technician has equipped you with sound knowledge of GESA/GENCA infection control standards within Endoscopy, as well as the relevant Australian standards and guidelines used in the prevention of transmission of infectious diseases. You are highly competent in the entire sterilisation process – in particular as it relates to the cleaning of endoscopic equipment.

 

You’ll present with:

  • Certificate in Sterilisation Technology or equivalent
  • Excellent instrument knowledge and ability to assemble endoscopes
  • Strong ability to work co-operatively and independently within a team environment
  • Demonstrated initiative in problem-solving, identifying opportunities to resolve issues and identify quality improvements within scope of your role
  • Industry body membership (desirable not essential).
