Remuneration Value:Permanent part-Time: $27.36 -$28.74 (FTE $54, 063 - $56, 790), 9.5% employee contribution to super, 17.5% annual leave loading + not for profit salary packaging

 

St Andrews War Memorial Hospital is currently inviting applications from experienced Administration Clerks for a position in their Emergency Department.

About the Role:

We are currently inviting applications for a Permanent Part-Time Administration Clerk within our Emergency Centre.  The part-time role will be required to work a base roster of 20 hours per week.

 

As an Administration Clerk in our Emergency centre you will be responsible for front office clerical functions including reception, pre-admissions, admissions, discharges and switchboard PABX.

 

The successful candidates will present with:

  • Knowledge and understanding of the Medicare/Private Health Fund and third party pay structures
  • Previous experience with medical billing
  • Previous experience within a Medical Practice or Hospital Emergency
  • Availability to work a 24/7 roster (comprising of 6-10 hour shifts)
  • High level data entry and word processing skills, specifically within Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to demonstrate empathy with patients
  • Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality regarding patient information
