Position Summary

With 524 beds, The Wesley Hospital provides tertiary level medical and surgical services across 30 specialty areas including cardiology, urology, neurosurgery, gastroenterology, orthopaedics, maternity and women’s health. These services are supported by an intensive care unit, coronary care unit, cardiac catheter theatres, 24-hour emergency centre, renal dialysis, radiology, radiation therapy, pathology, pharmacy services, IVF, haematology and oncology services.

 

We are currently seeking an experienced Physiotherapist to become an integral member of our Allied Health Team on a short term part time contract until December.

 

Working within one of the largest private hospitals in Australia, you will have the opportunity to apply your skills, while building valuable experience within a highly diverse acute setting. Through delivering our patients a wide range of specialist services, we offer a rare opportunity to work with a diverse patient case load as part of a large multi-disciplinary team.

 

If successful you will present with: 

  • Tertiary Degree in Physiotherapy from a recognised tertiary institution
  • Current unconditional registration with AHPRA
  • 1+ years experience within an acute setting
  • Minimum of 2-3 years post graduate experience
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver a higher level of clinical reasoning and decision making based on current best practice
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills including relationship management and interdisciplinary team work
  • Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety and clinical risk management requirements

Ideally will have experience across the areas of Orthopaedics, Medical, Surgical and Inpatient Rehabilitation
