Position Summary

Employment Status: Permanent Part Time, 32 hours per week

Location: St Andrews War Memorial Hospital

Classification: Enrolled Nurse

Remuneration Value:  $30.47 - $34.11 p/h (FTE $60,208 - $67,401), 9.5% employee contribution to super, 17.5% annual leave loading + not for profit salary packaging benefit + cumulative study leave.

 

St Andrews War Memorial Hospital are inviting applications from experienced Enrolled Nurses to apply for a permanent part time position within their Neurosurgical / Orthopaedic Unit!

About the Role:

You will accountable for the provision of safe, holistic nursing care to individuals and their families, applying best clinical practice and ensuring a safe environment for optimal patient outcomes. You will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team, collaborating effectively to deliver exceptional person-centred care. As an experienced Enrolled Nurse, you will demonstrate: 

  • 12 Months post graduate experience in a Neurosurgical / Orthopaedic Ward
  • Demonstrated ability to provide patient and family centred care using best practice
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment;
  • Commitment to professional development
  • Availability to work a 24/7 roster

Selection Criteria Essential: Do you have unlimited working entitlements in Australia as an Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident or New Zealand Passport Holder?
Essential: 12 months experience in an acute care setting
Essential: Ability to work a 24/7 roster
Essential: Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate respectfully and thoughtfully with patients, carers and other staff.

Essential: Demonstrated ability to take direction under the supervision of Registered Nurses

Essential: Ability to work supportively within a team and adapt to change
