Remuneration Value: Fixed-Term, Part-Time: $27.43 - $33.59 p/h, (FTE $54, 201 - $66, 373), 9.5% employee contribution to super, 17.5% annual leave loading + not for profit salary packaging

 

Casual: $27.43 - $33.59 p/h, (FTE $54, 201 - $66, 373) + 9.5% employee contribution to super + 25% casual loading

About the Role:

We are currently seeking an Allied Health Assistant to join our Allied Health Team. The role consists of both clinical and non-clinical duties, including assisting therapists with the delivery of rehabilitation programs, clerical duties and the management of resources and equipment.  As the Allied Health Assistant you will be responsible for:

  • Patient care duties which may include assistance with dressing, fitting splints, patient mobility, supervision of group classes and accompanying staff and patients offsite;
  • Utilising the communication framework tool to greet all patients and staff;
  • Ensuring equipment is maintained safely; Sourcing equipment and reporting any faults or availability issues;
  • Admission and discharge of day patients;
  • Booking and coordination of patient appointments;

Your background:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work both independently and as a member of the team;
  • Ability to prioritise a busy workload;
  • Currently undertaking Allied Health Degree/course with weekday availability

Certificate IV in Allied Health and previous experience as an Allied Health Assistant is desirable but not essential

Selection Criteria Essential: Do you have unlimited working entitlements in Australia as an Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident or New Zealand Passport Holder?
Not Essential: Certificate IV Allied Health preferable
