Position Summary

We are currently seeking to appoint an experienced Senior Physiotherapist specialising in acute surgical treatment, to our Allied Health team, delivering exceptional patient-centred care to those within the acute surgical pillar of cardiology, cardiac surgery, respiratory and intensive care. 


As a senior practitioner in this specialty, you will apply a significant level of knowledge and service in Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy, collaborate with the head of profession to ensure a high standard of quality and best practice clinical services, and contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of our physiotherapy service offering. 

 

You will apply your leadership skills in providing sound clinical supervision, developing rigorous departmental practices, and delivering quality clinical leadership to the allied heath team in your acute services area.

 

You will present with: 

  • Tertiary Degree in Physiotherapy from a recognised tertiary institution
  • Current unconditional registration with AHPRA
  • Minimum of 5 years Cardiorespiratory and Intensive Care experience in a comparable setting
  • A high level of leadership and knowledge, expertise and skills in Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy
  • Experience in the teaching and development of physiotherapy staff and students
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing evidence based clinical services through involvement in quality improvement initiatives
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills including relationship management and interdisciplinary team work
