Employment Status: Fixed Term (2 weeks) - Full Time

Classification: Registered Nurse – Level 2

Remuneration Value: $45.24-$48.47 p/h (FTE $89, 394 - $95, 776), 9.5% employee contribution to super, 17.5% annual leave loading + not for profit salary packaging benefit + cumulative study leave. 


Buderim Private Hospital is inviting applications for a 2 week Discharge Planning Nurse opportunity in the Stomal Therapy Unit!


People caring for people:


As a Discharge Planning Nurse in this department, you will  deliver clinical services based on valid and reliable evidence, in accordance with professional practice standards to ensure patient focussed outcomes. You will:

  • Provide exceptional customer service skills focused on exceeding patient expectations
  • Commit to achieving optimal patient outcomes through the use of effective clinical knowledge and professional standards of practice
  • Apply independent clinical judgement, knowledge and skills to routine clinical tasks and decision making
  • Deliver evidence informed interventions, using initiative and enhanced knowledge and skills to achieve a higher level of clinical outcomes
  • Exercise clinical judgement and seek professional guidance from a more experienced practitioner when complex clinical decisions and problem solving matters is required to achieve clinical outcomes

You’ll demonstrate:

  • Ability to deliver a higher level of clinical reasoning and decision making that is based on current best practice
  • Organisational skills and ability to manage a more complex and variable caseload
  • Evidence of involvement in quality improvement or service delivery improvement initiatives
  • High level of interpersonal and written communication skills and interdisciplinary teamwork
