Position Summary

We're seeking Cafe/Restaurant Attendants to join our Food Services team in the Gown & Glove Restaurant at the Wesley Hospital, in permanent part-time or casual positions.

 

Remuneration Value: 

  • Permanent Rate: $25.29 - $27.15 p/h
  • Casual Rate: $31.61 – 33.93 p/h
  • + Super + Shift Penalties/Allowances + Discounted Onsite Staff Parking

The role:

 

Working in The Wesley Gown & Glove Restaurant, you will be responsible for providing a high-quality customer service to all customers including patients, staff and visitors.

 

You will be responsible for basic meal preparation, portioning and service of hot and cold food, coffee making, cash handling, product knowledge and pricing, maintaining and replenishing floor stock supplies.

 

Working as a member in our Food Services Restaurant team you will:

  • Be part of our experienced team providing food services in one of Australia’s iconic private, not-for-profit hospitals
  • Be provided with opportunities for growth as we progress towards our on demand, hotel-style room service model
  • Be working with skilled chefs producing high quality cuisine for our patients, guests and various executive functions
  • Be able to apply your transferrable skillset from hospitality to the security of a career in the Healthcare sector
  • Have the opportunity to be a recognised member of the Institute of Hospitality in Healthcare

 

You will need:

  • Previous experience in customer service, within healthcare or a hospital environment will be desirable
  • Experience in food service, preparation and delivery
  • Barista skills desirable but not essential, training provided
  • A professional attitude with excellent presentation and customer service skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work across a roster spanning Monday to Sunday (inclusive), between the hours of 5:30am and 9:30pm
