The Sunshine Coast Private Hospital is a leading provider of private health care services on the Sunshine Coast. Centrally located and close to the many varied attractions in the region, the hospital comprises 190 beds covering medical, surgical, maternity, mental health, critical care, cardiac and rehabilitation services You will join an organisation committed to delivering high-quality health care with compassion, innovation and wisdom. Applications are invited from highly motivated and experienced Critical Care Registered Nurses for appointment to the position of Clinical Nurse Manager for Critical Care Services. The Clinical Nurse Manager is a pivotal member of the health care team and is responsible for the leadership direction, clinical and operational management of the unit.

 

The Critical Care Unit at The Sunshine Coast Private Hospital consists of 14 beds, combining Coronary Care and Intensive Care.

 

The successful applicant will be a dynamic Registered Nurse with previous experience in nursing management and be able to demonstrate their ability to lead positive change, build cohesive teams and manage key stakeholder relationships with Doctors, external and internal parties.

 

The successful applicant will be a dynamic Registered Nurse with at least two years experience in nursing management and be able to demonstrate their ability to lead positive change and build cohesive teams.

 

The successful applicant will meet the essential following criteria:

  • Registered Nurse with current registration (AHPRA);
  • Bachelor of Nursing with relevant post graduate qualifications;
  • Management experience in an acute care setting with the ability to balance clinical and financial KPI management of the department;
  • Consultative leadership style aligned with the organisation’s values and the UCH Values-based Leadership Framework with ability to build rapport and effective relations with key stakeholders using highly developed interpersonal skills, conflict management and negotiation skills;
  • Have a demonstrated knowledge and understanding of ISO Quality Management System, NSQHCS standards, continuous improvement, WH&S and risk management;
  • A strong commitment to customer service and quality outcomes;
  • Ability to strategically plan and positively implement change;
  • Excellent ability to plan and prioritise work in a complex and dynamic area.
