Position Summary
St Stephen's Hospital in Hervey Bay is Australia's first fully integrated digital hospital. With 96 patient beds, the state-of-the-art ‘hospital of the future’ provides vital medical and surgical services to the Fraser Coast and is the first hospital in Australia to showcase the future of how technology can transform the healthcare experience. St Stephen’s is part of UnitingCare Health, on of the largest not-for-profit hospital groups in Queensland and is committed to re-investing surplus funds for the development of the hospital, its services and its employees.

We are curently seeking an experiecend Clinical Nurse to join our General Medical ward in a Permanent Part Time Opportunity. This role would work a base of 24 hours per week, and be a pivotal component of our team's success in providing exceptional patient centred care to the Fraser Coast community.

 

As a Clinical Nurse, you will:

  • Provide exceptional patient care in the areas of your clinical expertise
  • Assess and respond appropriately to clinical nursing issues and concerns
  • Commit to achieving optimal patient outcomes through the use of effective clinical knowledge and professional standards of practice
  • Apply clinical practice that ensures and promotes a safe environment for optimal patient health
  • Apply sound knowledge of principles of clinical and workplace risk management, including incident management

 To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

  • Minimum of 5 Years experience working in General Medical acute environment
  • Relevant Postgraduate Qualification
  • Minimum of 2 Years Team Leadership experience, in mentoring and coaching students and other staff members. 
  • Advanced clinical assessment and application skills, with demonstrated clinical problem solving skills
  • Ability to manage designated portfolio and display sound leadership skills
