Position Summary

We’re seeking a skilled Patient Services Officer with experience in medical administration to join our Patient Services team at The Wesley!

 

Remuneration Value: $27.77 -$29.17 (FTE $54, 886 - $57, 655) + Super + $15,900 NFP Salary Packaging Value + Shift Penalties/Allowances + Discounted Onsite Parking

The Role:

 

Working as a Patient Services Officer, you will be responsible for providing medical administration support in a large, fast paced department. Duties will include patient registration, preadmissions, admissions, billing, patient referral management, switchboard, mail room, liaising with specialist & GP practices and various other reception duties. You will provide a high level of customer service to patients and their families, hospital staff and other health providers. 

 

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

  • Ideally previous emergency centre, hospital or medical practice administration experience
  • Intermediate computer skills and data entry accuracy
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong time-management skills with the ability to prioritise their workload
  • Exceptional attention to detail and focus in a fast-paced environment

We’re seeking those with the availability to work several shifts per fortnight (7.5-hour shifts), rostered over a 24/7 period. This is a permanent part time opportunity, with a base roster of 22 hours p/week.
