Position Summary

St Andrews War Memorial Hospital are currently seeking an experienced Sterilisation Technicians to join our CSSD Team.

 

These roles will be responsible for the reprocessing and sterilisation of surgical instruments and equipment to the Operating Theatres and clinical areas within the Hospital.  These positions would suit experienced CSSD Technicians looking for either permanent or casual opportunities.  

 

As part of perioperative services, you’ll delivery quality Central Sterilizing and Supply Department services to all stakeholders through skilled, safe and efficient work practices. You’ll gain valuable experience within a high-acuity, procedural hospital with an established team eager to share their knowledge and experience.

 

As Level 2 support services roles, we offer $26.59-$29.10 p/hour + Super, commensurate with experience. Employees are eligible to apply for discounted car-parking, while the hospital is centrally located a short walk from Roma Street Train station and other modes of public transport.

 

Your Background:

 

With a minimum of 2+ years previous experience within a healthcare/hospital CSSD area you’ll present with:  

  • Certificate III in Sterilisation Services (Essential)
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time-management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently when required 
  • Ability to work rotating roster

Orthopaedics loan set experience or previous experience working in loan areas would be highly desirable.
