We are currently inviting applications to join our Cardiothoracic/Vascular Unit in a new permanent part time Clinical Nurse opportunity.
As a Clinical Nurse you will provide exceptional patient care whilst assessing and responding appropriately to clinical nursing issues and concerns. Based on your experience, you will assisting with providing supervision and guidance within a multi-disciplinary team, through effective decision making and support.
You will be an experienced Clinical Nurse with a minimum of 5 years in a relevant acute environment. You will demonstrate a passion for delivering person-centred care through living our values and present with:
- Well-developed communication and customer service skills
- Previous experience coordinating care provision with large team
- Complex problem-solving and assessment skills
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities and remain patient-focused under pressure
- Commitment to ongoing professional development

Remuneration value: Level 2 position, $44.14-$47.29 p/h (FTE $87, 220 - $93, 445), 9.5% employee contribution to super, 17.5% annual leave loading + not for profit salary packaging benefit + cumulative study leave.
This role is Permanent Part Time – 64 hours p/fortnight

Selection Criteria |
Essential: Do you have unlimited working entitlements in Australia as an Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident or New Zealand Passport Holder? Essential: Are you available to work the hours/days that are advertised? Essential: Are you available to work a rotating roster? Essential: You are an experienced Registered Nurse or Clinical Nurse with a minimum of 5 years in a cardiothoracic, vascular or surgical environment. Essential: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships within the multidisciplinary team, patients and other stakeholders Essential: Demonstrated problem solving and conflict resolution skills Essential: Practices within scope of practice Essential: Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and participation in quality improvement projects Essential: Demonstrated ability to recognise and respond to clinical deterioration Essential: Studying towards or completion of a relevant graduate certificate or diploma.
Demonstrate a strong commitment to own and the professional development of others
Essential: Ability to work supportively within a team and adapt to change Essential: The ability to use negotiation skills to manage conflict within the work environment
Demonstrated ability to provide leadership, support and mentorship to other Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and Assistant in Nursing
