At TSCPH there are two dedicated cardiovascular theatres (CVT) which provide diagnostic and interventional cardiac services as well as encompassing vascular, pain and interventional radiology procedures.

 

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Educator to join the ­­­team. The role will work closely with the Education Manager, CVT Clinical Nurse Manager and Perioperative Educator to identify and meet education needs of the department and across the hospital, with the opportunity to also work clinically in the CVT department.  

 

We are seeking applications from motivated, enthusiastic and experienced cardiovascular interventional nurses who have a passion for clinical teaching and education. The role will see you make a significant contribution to the provision of education and you will become an integral part of an experienced team of Clinical facilitators and Clinical Nurse Educators across the hospital, who are lead and supported by the Education Manager. This team of professionals strives to achieve the best learning outcomes for all staff by working collaboratively to create an open and supportive learning environment.

 

To be successful in this position, you will,

  • Be an experienced Registered Nurse who has a Bachelor of Nursing degree or equivalent and with at least 5 years clinical experience in the specialty;
  • Registration as a Registered Nurse under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law Act 2009 with current annual practicing certificate;
  • Demonstrate advanced communication, clinical reasoning and problem solving skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and with a team to achieve outcomes;
  • Have the ability to coordinate allocation of resources (human and material);
  • Have completed or working towards:
    • Certificate IV (Workplace training and assessment)
    • Post graduate clinical or education qualification; and
    • Demonstrate a passion for clinical teaching and education.
