About The Role:

We are currently seeking an Advanced Clinical Coder to join the team at St Andrews War Memorial Hospital in Spring Hill! This permanent full-time role, is responsible for the assignment of accurate and timely clinical codes to inpatient episodes of care, through analysis of patient record documentation. This position will also provide educational support and mentoring to the Clinical Coding team to ensure the hospital has an accurate and consistent clinical coding service.

 

The successful candidate will ideally present with the following:

  • Bachelor of Health Information Management (HIM) or equivalent HIMAA Accredited Clinical Coding Certification
  • Extensive knowledge of ICD-10-AM, ACHI, ACS and AR-DRG’s
  • Extensive experience coding in a hospital environment with a varied casemix
  • Experience with 3M Codefinder software
  • High level of knowledge in medical terminology
