Position Summary |
- Employment Status: Permanent Part Time | 20 hours per week
- Location: St Stephens Hospital
- Classification: Support Services – Level 2
- Remuneration Value: $27.25 - $29.83 p/hour + 9.5% employee contribution to super, 17.5% annual leave loading + not for profit salary packaging
St Stephens are inviting internal applications from experienced Chefs to apply for a permanent part time role in their Food Services Unit!
The Role:
With a strong focus on quality, the Food Service Chefs aim to achieve exceptional food production and presentation to the patients, families and employees of St Stephens. You will be responsible for menu planning, food preparation, hygiene and storage with a focus on delivering well-presented and nourishing food.
You’ll demonstrate a positive attitude, a proven work ethic and ability to communicate professionally within a team environment. You’ll be prepared to undertake continuous training to maintain, update and diversify your skills and demonstrate:
- Demonstrated experience in high volume catering
- Comprehensive understanding of food safety standards, cleaning chemical and industrial cleaning equipment
- Understanding and working knowledge of a fully compliant HACCP kitchen
- Completed a Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery and a Food Safety Supervisors Certificate
