Position Summary

We are inviting applications for a Team Leader to oversee housekeeping and cleaning services at St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital.


Remuneration Level: Support Services Level 3 - $30.18 p/ hour + Super + Penalties/Allowances + $15, 900 Salary Packaging Benefit


As a pivotal part of our Hotel Services team, this role is responsible for overseeing and coordinating our housekeeping team, ensuring an exceptional standard of customer service and an outstanding patient experience.


You will be responsible for the coordination of housekeeping, linen and waste management services across the facility including ordering, auditing, and workplace health and safety. As a people leader, you will be responsible for the management of your department’s team members, including rostering, training and development and performance appraisals.


As a leader in Hotel Services, you may also be required to support other areas of your department, with some flexibility required to work evenings or weekends.  Through your leadership skills, you will develop a cooperative, positive and supportive environment that collaborates effectively alongside our clinical and non-clinical teams.


Your Background:


As an experienced hospitality/housekeeping professional, your previous experience will have equipped you with the skills, knowledge and experience to provide an exceptional standard of service to your customers.


You have the makings of a great supervisor, with strong communication skills that enable you to build effective interdepartmental relationships and motivate your team. Your ability to manage conflicting priorities and troubleshoot on the go ensures that your team operates effectively to deadlines.


You demonstrate: 

  • Experience working within a housekeeping environment
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
  • Sound understanding of infection control protocols
  • Ability to operate within budget constraints
  • Good computer skills
