Position Summary

We’re seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse to join our High-Dependency Haematology Transplant Unit at The Wesley.

 

Remuneration Value: $47.53 - $50.92 p/h (FTE $93, 919 - $100,618) + Super + NFP Salary Packaging + Shift Penalties + Allowances + Discounted Onsite Staff Parking

The Wesley Hospital Cancer Care Service is one of the largest and most comprehensive of its kind in Australia, with 38 acute oncology beds, a purpose-built, 9 bed high-dependency/stem cell transplant unit and a 17-bed palliative care ward. Our Services are led by skilled specialists supported by experienced oncology staff working collaboratively with Icon Cancer Centre Wesley (medical oncology) and GenesisCare (radiation oncology).

 

We provide our patients access to a large range of treatments including: Brachytherapy, Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, Radiotherapy, Stem cell mobilisation, Stem cell transplant, targeted therapies and Choices Cancer Support Centre.


Your Role: 

 

As a Clinical Nurse, within our High-Dependency Haematology Transplant Unit, you will provide exceptional patient care in the areas of your clinical expertise whilst assessing and responding appropriately to clinical nursing issues and concerns. Providing supervision and guidance within a multi-disciplinary team through effective decision making and support, you will lead by example through exceptional communication, customer service and patient advocacy. You’ll demonstrate:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in an Acute, High-Dependency Haematology Transplant Unit 
  • Bachelor of Nursing degree or equivalent and AHPRA registration
  • Commitment to patient safety and quality of care
  • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership, support and mentorship
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and quality improvements
