About the role

Our Internal Communications Advisor role offers you the opportunity to contribute in a meaningful way to our mission and the services we provide.

You will be responsible for developing and driving innovative internal communications to reach and engage our 16,000 employees and 9,000 volunteers. This includes: 

• Writing for a variety of audiences and channels
• Maintaining our internal communications channels
• Supporting and coordinating major internal events
• Advising internal teams and leaders on how to best reach and engage our internal audiences.

Reporting to the Manager of Internal Communication, this role sits within UnitingCare Queensland’s Corporate Affairs function; responsible for enhancing and protecting the reputation of the organisation through stakeholder engagement and communication with employees, volunteers, media, government, and the wider Queensland community.

About you

You will have: 

• at least 3 years’ experience as an internal communications professional
• issues and crisis communication experience
• proven ability in deliver high level communications outcomes in a complex, multi layered environment
• excellent written and verbal skills
• a lateral thinking style and a strong capability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
• relevant tertiary qualifications with a focus on communications, public relations or business.
