Group Procurement and Services are currently recruiting for a Procurement Officer, ICT who will report to the Category Manager ICT and Utilities.  This is an opportunity to join a fast changing and transforming organisation and gain exposure to emerging technologies that will influence the business

The Procurement Officer, ICT will be responsible for supporting the development, implementation and on-going management of category strategies to deliver sustained value to the service groups and the business overall.

Working closely with the Group ICT Service Delivery Team, Service Group IT teams, IT Vendors and Partners, this role is tasked with research and gathering of information that supports the service groups to deliver value and benefits to the business.

The key responsibilities of the role will include:

• Undertake tasks that relate to the contract management process, including but not limited to: gathering information for tender specifications, preparing requests for offer, preparing tender evaluation kits, organising tender selection processes and ensuring completed tender documentation.
• Consultation with stakeholders to understand product and service requirements
• Analyse data, undertake research, and prepare draft reports that provide input into strategy development in relation to current and emerging markets and suppliers, and industry trends and opportunities.
• Participate in a team of procurement professionals, building personal knowledge and capabilities in procurement, and behaving in accordance with organisational values and policies. 
• Monitor and manage contract/supplier performance on agreed Key Performance Indicators.

The successful applicant will bring:

• At least 3 years of experience in procurement and/or supply chain and logistics  (Experience in ICT procurement will be an advantage)
• Experience and understanding of analytical tools – reporting, spreadsheets and flowcharts
• Understanding of contract law and legislation would be an advantage
• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills to work with all levels of stakeholders internally and with third parties.
