Position Summary

 Buderim Private Hospital are inviting applications for Theatre Orderly positions in their Perioperative Services Support Team!

  • Base rate of $27.25 - $29.83 p/hour (FTE $53,846 - $58,944) (+23 % loading for casual roles)

About the Role:

Our perioperative services support team is seeking motivated and professional Theatre Orderly’s to join their team in permanent part-time or casual positions.

 

As a Theatre Orderly, you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure patient safety and care. Key duties will include:

  • Ensuring patient safety during procedures and transfers
  • Handling of hospital equipment according to manufacturer’s and hospital instructions
  • Demonstrating safe manual handling techniques and the effective use of mechanical lifting aids
  • Understanding hospital emergency procedures
  • Following hospital guidelines in relation to Infection Control, including hand washing and waste disposal
  • Assisting nursing team members with various patient procedures

 

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and care, strong communication and time management skills and the ability to work effectively according to direction.

 

You will also bring:

  • Ideally hold or working towards a Certificate III in Health Services Assistance or equivalent
  • Previous experience working in an Orderly position within an operating theatre setting
  • A passion for delivering high quality patient care
