Buderim Private Hospital are inviting internal applications for a new Trainee Clinical Coder opportunity at their facility on the Sunshine Coast.

We’re seeking a motivated and professional Trainee Clinical Coder to undertake a 12 Month Fixed Term opportunity to build your skills in clinical coding across a range of medical disciplines.

As part of the team at Buderim Private, you will train in coding against a range of specialties, building knowledge of coding practices, health funds and other relevant information to develop your skills as a proficient, entry-level coder.

This opportunity is a Fixed Term Part time opportunity, working 30 hours p/week.

As a trainee coder you will have achieved successful completion of both the medical terminology and ICD-10-AM Coding courses. You will demonstrate: 

• Good organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills
• Good analytical skills with demonstrated attention to details
• Good computer and keyboard skills / data entry skills

As part of a wider coding team, you will be flexible in your approach to work and be passionate about pursuing a career in clinical coding.
