About the opportunity

 

Group Procurement and Services are currently recruiting for a Procurement Officer who will report to the Category Manager, Hospitality and Property Services. This is an opportunity to join a fast changing and transforming organisation.

 

The role will support the development, implementation and on-going management of category strategies to deliver sustained value to the service groups and the business overall.  In addition, the role will support the Procurement Systems and Policy Manager with implementation support and catalogue development for purchasing systems.

The key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Research and gather information that supports the development of category plans for service groups, to deliver value and benefits to the business. 
  • Consult with key stakeholders within the service groups to understand product and service requirements.
  • Assist in the development of presentations, reports and papers that support the category stream specifically, and the development of the strategic procurement agenda, generally across the business.
  • Apply knowledge and understanding of procurement to raise areas of risk, to the Category Manager, that may impact the delivery of category management plans.
  • Undertake tasks that relate to the contract management process, including but not limited to: gathering information for tender specifications, preparing requests for offer, preparing tender evaluation kits, organising tender selection processes and ensuring completed tender documentation.
  • Analyse data, undertake research, and prepare draft reports that provide input into strategy development in relation to current and emerging markets and suppliers, and industry trends and opportunities. 
  • Participate in a team of procurement professionals, particularly building personal knowledge and capabilities in procurement, and behaving in accordance with organisational values and policies.
  • Monitors contract/supplier performance on agreed Key Performance Indicators. 
  • Undertakes tasks as directed to support the implementation of a contract lifecycle management system.
  • Engages with category teams and business partners to identify and implement purchasing catalogues into purchasing systems.
