Position Summary

St Stephens Hospital are currently inviting applications for the role of Clinical Nurse Manager to lead their Surgical Unit in a new permanent full time opportunity.

Your Role:

With an emphasis on clinical service delivery and people leadership, you will work collaboratively alongside other medical specialists, allied health and clinical services, ensuring an exceptional standard of service is being provided to those receiving care.


You will support departmental, hospital and organisation-wide goals, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through advancing the standard of nursing care delivery to patients, and the practice of exceptional surgical nursing.


This role is permanent full time opportunity, working 38 hours p/week. As a Level 3 position, this role will pay $51.53-$57.93 + Super + Salary Packaging commensurate with your experience.


About You:

As an advanced Clinical practitioner, you will demonstrate exceptional clinical knowledge and experience in Acute Surgical. Your leadership style enables you to effectively manage a multi-disciplinary team through strong clinical and interpersonal skills.


Through your previous leadership roles, you have demonstrated a strong alignment to Uniting Care Health values, complimented by a strong advocacy for person-centred care.  


You demonstrate: 

  • Minimum of 5 Years Surgical Nursing experience
  • Postgraduate Qualifications in Surgical Nursing
  • Ongoing commitment to self-evaluation and professional development
  • Experience in principles of “Living Values’ model of healthcare
  • Sound knowledge of HR, EEOI, WHS and Quality principles.
