Position Summary

The Wesley Hospital is one of Queensland’s largest private, tertiary hospitals and proudly services over 80,000 patients from Australia and overseas annually. With 538 beds, the hospital employs over 2300 full-time, part-time and casual staff, providing values-based, holistic care to patients and their families

 

The Wesley's Cancer Care Service is one of the largest and most comprehensive of its kind in Australia and draws on more than 20 highly experienced and skilled specialists supported by trained oncology nursing staff. Innovative and advanced cancer care is available through state-of-the-art equipment and modern facilities. The Cancer Care Services includes Oncology and Haematology, and Radiation Oncology. 

 

The Wesley are currently calling for applications from experienced Registered Nurses to join our Oncology Services units. 


Your Role:


You will be accountable for the provision of safe, holistic nursing care to individuals and their families, applying best clinical practice and ensuring a safe environment for optimal patient outcomes. You will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team, collaborating effectively to deliver exceptional care.

 

An experienced practitioner, you’ll demonstrate an alignment to our culture through strong communication, customer service and an ability to work effectively within a team. Further, you’ll show a clear passion for oncology nursing, with the empathy and compassion required to deliver an outstanding level of person-centred care.

 

You'll demonstrate: 

  • Minimum 2+ years post graduate experience wtihin Oncology
  • Well-developed clinical problem solving skills
  • Ability to work flexible, rotating roster
  • Commitment to further professional development
  • Unlimited work entitlements

Remuneration value: Level 1 position, $33.72-$43.34 p/h (FTE $66, 630 - $85, 639), 9.5% employee contribution to super, 17.5% annual leave loading + not for profit salary packaging benefit + cumulative study leave + discounted parking.

 

We are offering several permanent opportunities across our Oncology Wards, both part-time and full-time dependent on availability.

Essential: Current Registration as a practitioner with AHPRA
Essential: Do you have unlimited working entitlements in Australia as an Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident or New Zealand Passport Holder?
Essential: Can you demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development through either current or completed Postgraduate study?
Essential: Do you demonstrate a commitment to person-centred care through exceptional communication skills, customer service skills and an ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team?
Essential: Do you have at least 2+ years experience within this area of clinical care?
Essential: Are you available to work the required hours/days that are advertised?
