Position Summary

We’re seeking a Physiotherapist to join our Allied Health Team at The Wesley Hospital in a full-time, 6-month contract position.

Our team of allied health professionals assist patients through a variety of admitted programs and outpatient services to achieve the best possible outcomes in their rehabilitation and recovery. Our team includes Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Occupational Therapists, Phycologists, Speech Pathologists, Social Workers and Dieticians. We offer a wide variety of services including Women’s and Men’s Health, Outpatient, Rehabilitation and Persistent Pain.

 

The Role:

 

Due to planned leave and mandatory training dates across our team, we have an opportunity for a Physiotherapist to support our team in a full-time, 6-month contract position.

 

Joining our Allied Health team as a Physiotherapist, you will work with patients to maximise their physical potential and restore movement and function, providing treatment integral to recovery from surgery, illness and injury. 

 

With a focus on delivering high-quality, clinical care to patients within an acute setting, you’ll recognise the importance of multi-disciplinary approaches to rehabilitation; bringing an open, collaborative approach to patient-centred care.

 

As a Level 3 position, you will also provide clinical practice development and training opportunities to less experienced Allied Health staff, Assistants and students and contribute to the ongoing development of Allied Health services in collaboration with colleagues in similar roles and senior clinical staff.

 

You will need:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in an acute tertiary hospital
  • Relevant qualifications and AHPRA registration
  • Experience in Orthopaedics, Cardio/Respiratory, General medical and Neuro/Rehab (desirable)
  • Commitment to teamwork and high-level communication skills Strong, evidence-based clinical practice and problem-solving skills

Remuneration:

  • Level 2: $39.46 - $48.50 p/h (FTE $77,972 - $95,836)
  • Level 3: $50.78 - $54.84 p/h (FTE $100,341 - $108,363)
  • + Super + $15,900 NFP Salary Packaging Value + Shift Penalties/Allowances + Subsidised Onsite Staff Parking

Selection Criteria Essential: A minimum 2 years experience in an Acute Tertiary hospital
Essential: Experience in Orthopaedics, Cardio/Respiratory, General medical and Neuro/Rehab is desirable
