Position Summary |
St Andrews War Memorial Hospital are currently inviting internal applications for several 2019 Clinical Facilitator opportunities, coordinating our nursing student placements.
The Clinical Facilitator will oversee students working towards qualifications to become either Registered or Enrolled Nurses
Student placements run from mid January to late December, the length of each student group varying between 2, 3, 4, and 6 weeks. You will be rostered throughout the year with other facilitators, as negotiated upon successful employment, to fill the student calendar year. This position is Full time within the dates of your allocated student calendar, with a flexible start time of between 06:30 to 09:30 am, depending on student requirements.
Included within this role is the facilitation of clinical competencies, clinical coaching and mentoring, the provision of verbal and written feedback on student performance to the students and also to their relevant educational facility.
The successful applicant will work with the clinical facilitator team as part of the St Andrew’s Clinical School with additional support from the Education Team.
Essential requirements to be considered for this position:
- A strong clinical background and knowledge base (Minimum 2 years post registration)
- Ability to work independently, but also part of a team
- Willingness to facilitate in various clinical areas throughout the hospital to meet student needs.
- See themselves as a positive role model for students and fellow staff
Desirable Requirements to be considered for this position:
- TAE Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent or willingness to work towards by 2019
Remuneration value: Level 2 position, $44.14-$47.29 p/h (FTE $87, 220 - $93, 445), 9.5% employee contribution to super, 17.5% annual leave loading + not for profit salary packaging benefit.
