Employment Status: Permanent Part Time (25 hours p/week)

Remuneration Value: Level 4 $32.50 - $33.31 p/hour (FTE $64, 220 - $65, 820) + 9.5% employee contribution to super, 17.5% annual leave loading + not for profit salary packaging + on call allowance

St Stephens Hospital are inviting applications from an experienced Electrical Maintenance Officer to join our team in a Permanent Part Time capacity.

 

Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator, you will apply your expertise in the delivery of electrical services support. You will also provide environmental services support, assisting with general plumbing and trade tasks around the facility. You will also be required to participate in an out of hours on call roster.

 

As part of your role, you’ll be accountable for:

  • Preventative electrical maintenance
  • Inspecting, test, tagging and registering equipment
  • Reporting any faulty or hazardous equipment
  • Maintaining and storing equipment according to strict hospital procedures
  • General environmental services and trades duties as required

You will have a commitment to delivering excellent service to managers, patients and their loved ones, through an effective customer focused attitude. You will show the key attributes of ownership, accountability and a willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities that may arise.

 

 As an experienced tradesperson, you will demonstrate:

  • Certificate of Competency/License as an Electrical Fitter/Mechanic Qld
  • 5 years post trade experience
  • Over knowledge of maintenance at a tradesman level
  • Working knowledge of basic carpentry and plumbing
  • Knowledge of infection control guidelines and standard health precautions
  • Knowledge of environmental work processes, including cleaning chemicals and industrial cleaning equipment
