Remuneration Value: Level 4 Position, $54.57-$59.11 p/h (FTE $107, 771 - $116, 801), 9.5% employee contribution to super, 17.5% annual leave loading + not for profit salary packaging

The Opportunity:

The Senior Occupational Therapist will maintain a full time acute clinical caseload as well as contribute to the Allied Health division’s strategic goals and objectives. Duties will include:

  • Providing a high level of knowledge and expertise within their speciality to ensure excellence in the provision of services, ensuring services provided are safe, appropriate, efficient and effective
  • Delivering high level acute Occupational Therapy services
  • Applying independent clinical judgement to more complex Occupational Therapy tasks
  • Providing high quality clinical leadership to Allied Health staff across a number of clinical areas
  • Promote continuous improvement across other Occupational Therapy and Allied Health staff including training, clinical education and research

The successful applicant will ideally present with:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy
  • Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
  • Demonstrated, relevant clinical experience in a comparable setting (acute hospital or ambulatory service)
  • Demonstrated clinical leadership and a high level of clinical knowledge, expertise and skills in Occupational Therapy
  • Evidence of involvement in quality improvement initiatives, quality assurance and research activities
  • High level of interpersonal and written communication skills as well as sound computer literacy
