Remuneration Value: Level 2 $27.25 - $29.83 p/hour (FTE $53, 846 - $58, 944) + 9.5% employee contribution to super +23% casual loading
The Wesley Hospital is inviting applications for casual Orderly positions within their Theatre Unit!
The Wesley Hospital is one of Australia’s iconic and largest private not-for-profit hospitals. From the heart of Brisbane more than 800 Visiting Medical Practitioners and 2, 000 staff deliver personalised care through life’s journey for generations of Queenslanders.
With 19 operating theatres, The Wesley Hospital is the largest private hospital operating campus in Queensland, undertaking up to 750 operations per week. The Wesley was recently recognised as a Centre of Excellence in Robotic Surgery and Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery - a clear indication of the Wesley’s commitment to exceeding clinical benchmarks and providing highly specialised care
About the Role:
You’ll be accountable for ensuring patient safety during procedures and transfers, safe handling of hospital equipment according to manufacturer’s and hospital instructions, following hospital guidelines in relation to Infection Control and assisting nursing team members with various patient procedures. Your role will require flexibility, in order to work a rotating roster commencing at varying times.
We are seeking experienced, patient-centred professionals who can demonstrate:
- Minimum of 12 months experience as a Theatre Orderly
- Good interpersonal communication skills with passion for person centred care
- Great team work, with an ability to prioritise, work under pressure, and without supervision
- Strong commitment to safe working practices, and following strict guidelines.
