Position Summary

UnitingCare Health is one of the largest not-for-profit private hospital groups in Queensland and is a service group of UnitingCare Queensland. The hospital group is a major provider of healthcare services in Queensland which operates almost 1000 licensed hospital beds and employs over 4200 people.

  • Permanent Part Time – 32 Hours P/Week – Fixed Term Contract
  • Surgical Unit – Must have flexibility to work all shift types

St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital is a 250 bed facility in Spring Hill. Facilities at St Andrew’s include 15 theatres, three cardiology catheter laboratories, endoscopy suites, an intensive care unit and emergency centre. St Andrew’s is a world leader in patient outcomes for many of our specialties. We achieve this by attracting the best staff and medical practitioners and carefully auditing and improving on the outcomes of our treatments.

 

Our Opportunity:

 

Our Surgical unit currently has an opening for a Registered Nurse to join their team.

Reporting to the Clinical Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of safe, holistic nursing care to patients and their families. Demonstrate your professional experience and play a leading role in providing outstanding patient-centred care.


Ideally, you will demonstrate the following criteria:

  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA);
  • Minimum 2+ years experience as a Registered Nursed within a Surgical Environment
  • Ability to work all shifts
  • Completion of relevant qualification ie. Diploma or Bachelor of Nursing degree from a recognised VET or tertiary institution;
  • The ability to work well as part of a multidisciplinary team; 
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills; effective communication and time management skills;
  • Commitment to upholding the values and mission of Uniting Care Health.
