The Wesley Hospital, Clinical Education team, is seeking expressions of interest from current employees for the following role –

• Level 2 Clinical Nurse Educator Ward 2M Neuroscience (8 hours/fortnight)

The position reports to the Director, Clinical Education and is responsible for working closely with the relevant unit to identify and meet nursing education needs.  As the Clinical Nurse Educator you will be accountable for:

• Developing and delivering learning programs through evidence based research and consultation with nurse clinicians and other multidisciplinary teams;
• Evaluating learning programs by analysing outcomes and assessing effectiveness of training;
• Coordinating education programs including scheduling of place, time and facilities;
• Facilitating mandatory training
• Maintaining relevant clinical expertise, skill and knowledge;
• Participating in hospital wide education programs that support the nursing division;
• Participating in policy and procedure development;
• Working collaboratively with CNM's to identify educational priorities for staff as the need arises.

To perform the duties of this role you will need to:

• Registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA;
• Minimum 2 years recent cumulative post-registration nursing experience relevant to the specialty area;
• Hold or working towards post registration / tertiary qualifications relevant to the area of nursing specialty;
• Work a minimum of 3 days per week in the clinical area;
• A commitment to the mission of The Wesley Hospital and the goals of the nursing division.
