The Wesley Hospital provides tertiary level medical and surgical services across 30 specialty areas including cardiology, urology, neurosurgery, gastroenterology, orthopaedics, maternity and women’s health. These services are supported by an intensive care unit, coronary care unit, cardiac catheter theatres, 24-hour emergency centre, renal dialysis, radiology, radiation therapy, pathology, pharmacy services, IVF, haematology and oncology services.


With 19 Theatres, including a hybrid theatre and two da Vinci surgical robots, The Wesley Hospital is responsible for over 750 operations per week, and is proud to be the largest private operating complex in Queensland.

We are currently seeking internal applications for the position of Clinical Nurse – Level 2, specialising in Plastics/Reconstructive and Maxillofacial procedures.


This opportunity is a Permanent Full Time Opportunity – working 38 hours per week.  


As a Clinical Nurse you will provide exceptional patient care in the areas of your clinical expertise whilst assessing and responding appropriately to clinical nursing issues and concerns. Based on your experience, you will assisting with providing supervision and guidance within a multi-disciplinary team, through effective decision making and support.

As an experienced Nurse, you will demonstrate: 

  • Extensive Clinical Experience in Plastics/Reconstructive and Maxillofacial procedures
  • Previous experience coordinating provision of patient centred care with large team
  • Sound leadership skills with an ability to effectively supervise a multi-disciplinary team
  • Well-developed communication skills with an ability to nurture a collegial work environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage conflicting priorities and remain patient-focused and team-centred under pressure
  • Post Graduate Qualification with commitment to ongoing professional development
