Position Summary

UnitingCare Health is one of the largest not-for-profit private hospital groups in Queensland and is a service group of UnitingCare Queensland. The hospital group is a major provider of healthcare services in Queensland which operates almost 1000 licensed hospital beds and employs over 4200 people across The Wesley Hospital, St Andrews War Memorial Hospital, The Sunshine Coast Private Hospital, and St Stephens Hospital.


We are currently seeking to appoint a Clinical Applications Analyst to a 12 Month Fixed Term Maternity Leave Contract.

As part of our eHealth division, you will hold accountability for the clinical application systems, application oversight and supporting of the operational performance of these applications.  Additionally, you will provide strategic and tactical support to the organisation by analysing and interpreting data for continuous improvement and optimisation. 

A diverse role, you will:

  • Provide technical guidance and system analysis to support efficient and effective use of clinical applications including clinical application issues resolution and escalation management.
  • Work with staff and vendors and other ISD staff to investigate, address and resolve any questions or issues with clinical applications.
  • Manage the queue for clinical applications ensuring appropriate assignment of tickets, resolution within agreed SLAs and provision of excellent customer service
  • Troubleshoots problems and inefficiencies in clinical applications in consultation with clinical customers.
  • Lead, develops, maintains and upgrades test scripts for clinical applications, including participation in system, integration and use testing for clinical applications.
  • Collaborate closely with the Project Management Office for successful project delivery.

Please note, participation in the on-call roster is required as part of this role.

About You:

As an experienced professional, you will demonstrate skills in clinical application analysis including customer and stakeholder engagement, investigation of and understanding of business/hospital workflow practices and how implementation of technology will impact.


You will be confident in your ability to visualise, articulate and solve complex problems and concepts and make decisions that make sense based on available information.


Knowledge and formal training in Cerner Millennium Applications and lite project management would be highly advantageous.
