Position Summary

The Wesley Hospital provides tertiary level medical and surgical services across 30 specialty areas including cardiology, urology, neurosurgery, gastroenterology, orthopaedics, maternity and women’s health. These services are supported by an intensive care unit, coronary care unit, cardiac catheter theatres, 24-hour emergency centre, renal dialysis, radiology, radiation therapy, pathology, pharmacy services, IVF, haematology and oncology services.


The Coronary Care Unit / Acute Cardiac Ward is a 28 bed ward comprising of 10 Coronary Care beds and 18 Cardiac Medical beds. 

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Clinical Nurse to join our team in either a Permanent Full time OR Permanent Part Time capacity!

With our roster set for the Xmas period, we would also welcome applications from nurses who are looking for a change but still want to take their planned holiday leave!

 

As a Clinical Nurse you will

  • Provide exceptional patient care in the areas of your clinical expertise whilst assessing and responding appropriately to clinical nursing issues and concerns
  • Commit to achieving optimal patient outcomes through the use of effective clinical knowledge and professional standards of practice
  • Apply clinical practice that ensures and promotes a safe environment for optimal patient health
  • Exercise authority through appropriate decision making
  • Apply sound knowledge of principles of clinical and workplace risk management, including incident management

 

In applying, you will demonstrate:

  • A minimum of 3 years experience within a Coronary Care Unit
  • Well-developed communication skills, be team focused and able to nurture a collegial work environment
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate provision of nursing care
  • Demonstrate an advanced level of professional development
  • Innovative and be keen to support staff and unit development.
