Our Opportunity:
The role will be responsible for assisting in providing a secure environment for staff, visitors and patients. The Security team also maintains traffic / parking control within the hospital grounds and car park. This is a hands-on role and involves providing assistance with immediate security needs, planning and general security support.
As a Permanent Full Time opportunity we offer an hourly rate of $36.34 - $39.08 p/hour + Super commensurate with your experience. We also offer competitive not-for-profit salary packaging, designed to increase your take-home pay. Employees are eligible to apply for discounted car-parking, while the hospital is centrally located a short walk from Auchenflower station and other modes of public transport.
About You:
As an experienced Security Officer, you will have a minimum of 3 years recent experience in a similar position. With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you’ll apply a professional approach to your role with demonstrated experience with critical incidents and emergency response procedures. You’ll demonstrate:
- Unlimited working entitlements in Australia
- Current Queensland Class 1 Security Provider Licence with endorsements in Security Officer Unarmed, Crowd Control, Monitoring and Bodyguard
- Technical aptitude and efficiency with information systems and MS Office
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate
- Availability to work rotational 12 hour shifts, including nights and weekends
A current manual open drivers license is essential.
